  • Meditate

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” -Psalm 1:1-3

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” -2 Timothy 3:16, 17

  • Memorize

“Your Word have I hidden in my heart that I may not sin against You.” - Psalm 119:11

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” - John 15:7

“Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you…” - Colossians 3:16

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.” - Romans 12:2

  • Obey

“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice and to listen than the fat of rams.” - 1 Samuel 15:22

“Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” - John 14:21

“You are my friends if you do what I command you.” - John 15:14

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” - James 1:22

Verse of meditation and memorization: Colossians 4:2-4

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains,  that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

Shall I give you yet another reason why you should pray? I have preached my very heart out. I could not say any more than I have said. Will not your prayers accomplish that which my preaching fails to do? Is it not likely that the Church has been putting forth its preaching hand but not its praying hand? Oh dear friends! Let us agonize in prayer. ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

When we become too glib in prayer we are most surely talking to ourselves. ~ A.W. Tozer

If you find your life of prayer to be always so short, and so easy, and so spiritual, as to be without cost and strain and sweat to you, you may depend upon it, you have not yet begun to pray. ~ Alexander Whyte

O, let the place of secret prayer become to me the most beloved spot on earth.    - Andrew Murray

Yes Lord! Take us deeper into the treasure You have given us in this blessed communion with You through prayer!  Let us give ourselves wholly to this great privilege and responsibility and simply believe in Jesus Name.

There is a kind of gospel being proclaimed today which conveniently accommodates itself to the spirit of the age, and makes no demand for godliness. – Duncan Campbell
